MASTER THE SOUND
For Precision Listening, Mixing and Mastering
Scan Pro Audio Recommended – The K712 sit neatly between the K702 and the K812 in the AKG Pro range. They have a much sharper and more defined upper midrange than the K702, as well as an additional slight extension of the sub bass. These are an excellent choice for open-back monitor headphones under 250. Best results when used with a DAC / Amp such as the Creative E5, Apogee Groove or Geek Out 450 / 720
The K712 PROs are reference, open, over-ear headphones for precise listening, mixing and mastering. The over-ear design guarantees maximum wearing comfort for fatigue-free mixing and mastering, while providing spacious and airy sound without any compromise. Their precise powerful sound results from improved low-end performance by 3dB.
These headphones have a genuine soft leather headband for a lightweight and comfortable fit. Their carefully selected transducers provide consistency and accurate localization. The K712 PROs come with a professional mini XLR connector for quick replacement of the cable. Also included is an additional coiled cable and a premium carrying bag.
It’s probably for the best that the earth is round and not flat, and flat broke is not something anyone would aspire to. But to get the best possible sound from headphones, AKG has determined that flat is the way to go, at least for voice coils.
AKG’s Flat-wire Voice Coil
Improved Transient Response
AKG’s flat-wire voice coil technology is what gives the K701, K702 and K712 Reference headphones the transient response that delivers amazingly accurate and spacious sound. Conventional voice coils use round wires, but AKG’s flat-wire technology allows the company to build very rigid yet lightweight voice coils, which improves the pulse response
